Abstract
In current globalized world, racial and ethnic studies have gained eminent importance in academia. The significance of this field does not lie only in voicing marginalized people and cultures but also in challenging the dominant discriminatory practices anchored in human history. In order to deepen their understanding of race and ethnicity discipline, researchers should foster critical thinking skills. This latter is considered an essential skill in the 21st century because it showcases creativity. Moreover, thanks to digitization processes; digital primary sources of race and ethnicity in the form of reports, newspapers, articles, speeches, and autobiographies are available online which highly contribute to the researcher’s critical thinking formation and development at the levels of analysis, interpretation, and evaluation. Hence, this thesis investigates the modeling of Critical thinking in U.S race and ethnicity through the use of digital primary sources.
